After a 10 hour flight to London, a 5 hour layover and an additional 3 hour flight -- the team has arrived at home base for the next two weeks!
Both flights were incredibly smooth. The entire team (save for Alex and Christian Betancourt) were all seated in one section of the plane and able to enjoy the small comforts of being cramped together for 13 hours. While some were able to sleep for almost the entire journey, most of the team is pretty tired and already feeling the jet lag.
We landed in Bucharest 1AM local time (2PM PST) and finally got through customs, baggage check, and connected with our hosts (Jen, Jenny, and Nicu). They drove us from the airport to the team house where we are staying over this weekend to get trained up and acclimated to the situation here in Romania. The team is cleaning up, getting ready for bed, and grateful for a place to settle down after traveling to the other end of the globe today.
Tomorrow will be a day of getting through orientation, meeting more of the Heart2Heart team, and having a pool party!!
