This was my second trip to Romania, and man, it was such a blessing. To get the precious opportunity to reconnect with several orphans that I met last year was unreal. After returning to Romania a second time, I believe I have a greater appreciation for the Lord, especially Him being my Heavenly Father. So often we address God as our "Heavenly Father" in prayers, and neglect the tremendous weight of that title. I was fortunate enough to grow up with a God-honoring man as my Dad, but many of these Romanian boys and girls didn't have an experience like mine. Regardless of our parent's status in our lives growing up, we each have a Heavenly Father who greatly desires to be in relationship with us. What a blessing that is. After returning home, I am greatly encouraged not only by the Heart 2 Heart staff for sacrificially serving, but also for Pastor JT, our EFCC team leaders, and our students, who by the grace and provision of Christ were able to pour themselves out in service over the past two weeks. Beyond excited to see where the Lord will take each of these students as they navigate their callings, chasing after the Kingdom of God.

I’m going to have to use that phrase “navigate your calling” … even at my advanced age ;). I wasn’t an orphan but I didn’t have a relationship with Dad. I believe the lack of that has impacted me in how I view God. Glad you went back to Romania so kids see that you truly care for them. Welcome home.
