The second week of our trip started with the team going to Church Sunday morning before heading back to the Nenciulesti house. On Monday and Tuesday we traveled to the schools for the orphans with special needs for the VBS events. We went to the boys school in the mornings and to the girls school in the afternoons Then on Wednesday both the boys and girls came to the house where we were having the VBS for week one. On Thursday we visited one of the palaces of the first king of Romania and an Orthodox monastery in the mountains north of Bucharest. On Friday morning we went to a market and in the afternoon we hosted a pool party for children from an orphanage in Bucharest. On Saturday we were planning to take a tour of the revolution square and visit some other landmarks however, two of the vehicles were involved in a minor accident on the way. Sunday morning was the end of our time in Romania as we began our flights back to the U.S. We made it home without any issues.
Here are a couple of prayer requests as we come back to our normal lives:
1. Pray for us as we share about the trip with friends and family, and as we readjust to our normal lives.
2. Pray that the students will remember the ways that they saw God during the trip and continue to be changed by their expierience.
3. Pray for the H2H staff as they prepare for the fall season where they are able to continue working with the children in their schools.
