The 2024 EFCC High School Ministry mission trip to Romania was awesome and every team member had life changing experiences and memories. During our trip review and debrief on Saturday we were challenged to choose three words to describe our trip however, I choose four: eye-opening, energy, joy, and blessed. For me this trip opened my eyes because I discovered that I am more empathetic than I realized and I got to see how life is different for everyone. I choose energy because it felt like the kids never ran out of energy and because I feel like God gave me extra energy to be able to paly soccer and other actives all day for two weeks. My third word is joy because the whole trip was filled with joy, the kids were filled with joy because they were at camp and our team was filled with joy through our interactions with the kids. This trip gave me a greater awareness of how blessed I am in my life and how I was able to bless the kids in Romania by being an example of God's love for them. This trip was an incredible experience for all of us. Please be praying for the team as we return to our homes, pray that we are able to take what we learned on the trip and apply it to our lives, Pray for the staff of Heart to Heart as they continue to show God's love to orphans in Romania, and pray for the kids that came to camp these two weeks.
Thanks for this summary. Missions trips have that cross cultural effect that can result in changed perspectives. I’ll pray as your group flies back that those many hours will be used to further reflect upon your experiences.
