Dear friends and family,
We have been blessed with an awesome second week here in Romania! This week, the kids coming to VBS were all from a special needs orphanage. This added new some challenges, such as difficult behaviors and intense energy. While we weren’t sure how the week would go, it ended up being super fun and fufulling.
During the first week, I didn’t really connect with any of the kids, so I didn’t have any expectation of connecting with the week two group. Looking back, I was clearly wrong, as I quickly bonded with several kids this week.
Some of my highlights from camp this week were:
- Playing football with the kids every morning
- Dancing with the kids in the afternoon
- Making friendship bracelets for the girls
- Worshipping with the kids
This was such a sweet group and it was so much fun to love on them. It was super humbling to see their joy, even after enduring situations I can’t imagine.
This was a super full week and I had an amazing time bonding with the kids and enjoying the presence of the Lord!
Please continue to pray for:
- Health and safety getting home
- The Lord to work in the hearts of the kids; that they will have seen the light of Jesus through us
