Hello friends and family,
We will be taking off for Romania in a week! As the trip is approaching, my team and I are getting really excited for this awesome opportunity. In preparation for our time in Romania, we have been meeting as a team each month to learn more about the culture and ministry we will be partnering with. During one of our meetings, we dove into the topic of child development and psychology. My biggest takeaway from this discussion was that children can only properly develop into well rounded adults when they are raised in a loving environment, however when they grow up in a neglectful environment, their brains aren’t able to develop the way that they are designed to. This is something that we will learn a lot more about on the trip, as many of the kids and young adults that we will be working with will likely have experienced trauma and this has affected their development. As we interact with kids and young adults in Romania, we are hoping to show them how loved they are both by us, and their Creator.
As we are preparing to leave, and as we are on the trip, I ask that you would pray for these three things:
1. Health and safety leading up to the trip, as well as when we are in Romania.
2. The Holy Spirit to work in the hearts of the kids and young adults in Romania.
3. Impactful moments and takeaways for our team during and after the trip.
